Just a Quick Post to Share a Card

Just a quick post to share a card.

I have always loved the Wedding Riley stamp. Then I saw
the Wedding embossing folder set from Sizzix.
Ahh perfect companions!
Love the Always & Forever Border.

Paper is Bo Bunny Dots and some gold miror paper.
The background is embossed with the Cuttlebug Victoria folder.
Antique Linen Distress ink was used on all highlighting and
coloring of the image was with Copic markers.
Crystal Stickles was used on the lettering and the veil.

Thanks for stopping by!
Back to work I go on the May Riley release.  It's a WOW!

It's A Riley Design Team Challenge!

Ready for another Riley Design Team Challenge?
This challenge came from Laurie Clout.  It is a
color challenge to use Pastel Colors.

Please join us and add a link in the comments
to your Pastel Riley Project.  If you post at
Splitcoast Stampers be sure and use the
keyword RILEY 0510 so we can find it easily!

Oooh pastels!!!!   Makes me think of
one of life's very special moments.... a new baby!

Here are two quick and easy Baby gift cards.
The safety pen shapes are from the Wild Cards Cricut
cartridge cut at 5".  I also cut the blackout to
line the cut out safety pin shape.
Add an adorable Copic colored Baby Riley with some pop
dots. Then top it off with a computer generated saying
held on with tiny wood clothes pins.
I pen stitched around the safety pin shape and added a bow
to the saying.
The papers are by K & Company. They are the Itsy Bitsy
Baby Girl and Baby Boy paper pads in 8.5 xy 8.5 size.
Design Tip:  Look for mat stacks and smaller paper pads.
They are usually a fraction of the cost of the big 12x12 pads
and the prints are sized perfectly for cards.
These shapes were actually cut on this 8.5 x 8.5 paper with room
to spare!
Thanks for stopping by and be sure and check out the other
Designers!  I just love challenge day and seeing what everyone
has posted!

It's Blog Hop Time for Riley and Company!

Yeah it is Moose Madness time!

blogs, leave a comment as you go and you just might

You should have arrived here from Patti's Blog.

To start at the very beginning go here:

Now for the fun part!

PRESENTING TV RILEY!   (buy it here!)

When I saw this stamp I knew it was so me
and my family. We just love to watch tv.

First up - this card was inspired by this last weekend.
Do you know how hard it is to be a KState grad
married to the biggest KU Basketball fan?
Solution - His and Hers TVs!

Paper used is the MVP collection by
We R Memory Keepers.
Embossed with Bubbles Cuttlebug embossing folder.
Basketball brads from Hobby Lobby.
Saying was computer generated.
All coloring was done with Copic markers.

Okay this next one is just silly!
Things can get totally crazy sometimes at
Riley and Company Headquarters
(aka Stamper's Ink.)

Well what can you expect from a place
with so many moose on the loose?
The conversation was what Riley stamps could
represent a tv show?  It got too hilarious!
So this idea was born.  A wheel card
that the tv shows change on.

The story so far:
Riley sat down to watch tv one evening.
"Hum let's see what is on."
-Click-

"The Riley and Company Ballet .... oh no quick
change channels before Sophie comes in."
-flip-

"CSI : Riley City.... oh darn it's a
rerun."
-flip-

"Oh yeah this is more like it... a new episode
of The Vampire Riley Diaries!"

Giggle! That Vampire Riley in the tv just did me
in when I made this wheel card.
Riley just had to pick that show.
The other Riley stamps are Ballet Sophie and
Detective Riley.
Diecuts are all from the Mickey and Friends
Cricut cartridge. Saying was computer
generated.

The print paper is Bo Bunny Dots. The cardstock
Black Magic Coredinations - I used both sides.
All coloring done with Copic markers.

Yes it is a big card 6" x 8" and I still could
only fit three images on the wheel.

Leave me a comment on what tv show you would have
a Riley stamp depict! All comments will be entered in
the drawing.

Now hop on over to Dana's Blog.

Come back tomorrow for the last of my new release
projects.

Whew!
Therese

Hippity Hop to the Riley Sneek Peek No. 3!

I could not resist....
Last containers post.  I promise!
There are cards tonight.  Two very
funny cards!
Want something just too cute and funny?
Well then you need Easter Bunny Riley.

This stamp just makes me giggle!
It is the perfect stamp for both pastel and bright
Easter cards and decorations.

Treat Box diecut is from the Sweet Treats Cricut
cartridge. Circles cut with Spellbinder
Nestibilities and coloring done with Copic markers.
Clouds were made with the Great Impressions
Cloud Stencil kit and Tumbled Glass Distress ink.

Design tip: Don't be afraid to cut out stamped
shapes and pop dot up for a cute effect.

Purse diecut is from Forever Young Cricut Cartridge.
Oval shapes cut with Spellbinder Nestibilities.
Coloring done with Copic markers.

I cut a purse 1/4" smaller then cut the sides from it to get
this smaller side to layer on top of assembled purse.
Mosaic Cuttlebug embossing folder was used for texture.

Now don't forget to come back at 9 pm Central time
for our blog hop! Posting a comment on each Design
Team member's blog will get you an entry in their drawing
for a  free unmounted stamp of your choice from the
new releases!

Thanks for stopping by!

the diecut purses from the Cricut Forever Young Cartridge
and all images colored with Copic Markers.
The circles are cut with Spellbinder Nestibilities.

Ready for a Riley Sneek Peek?

Are you ready for Riley and Company's new releases
this week?  You are in for such a treat this month
and the next release in May.

A bit of background for my sneek peek choice today....
If you don't know about Kansas City in March
well I can sum it up in one word....
BASKETBALL.
It is March Madness and Big 12 tournament time.

So in honor of all the alumni of these fine
Midwest Universities this collection is for you.
(These 4 Universities are well represented by the
population in KC.  As these teased me at the store
when I brought them in,  I was politically correct.
So wonder why I started with KState..... LOL!)

The stamp is the new Basketball Riley.
Sayings were computer generated.  The nifty
basketball brads can be found at Hobby Lobby.

Thanks for looking.  Be sure and check out all the
other design team members via the links to the right.

Stop by tomorrow for more sneek peeks!

It's Riley and Company Design Team Challenge Time!

The Riley and Company Design Team challenge
this time was a non card item.
I just had to make something green first!
It also had to be Clover Riley.  Love that stamp!

I am still playing with Cricut cartridges and what
better way to make a non card item.

This little basket is actually off the new Cricut Easter
Special release cartridge.  Basket is cut at 8".
The shamrock came from Designer
Calendars cartridge and is cut at 3 1/4"
and a white shadow the same size.

The handle has a 1 1/2" shamrock placed over where there
is actually a flower and the leaves to the flower were trimmed off.

I had another project I couldn't wait to make and just barely
got it done Monday evening.  Tanya this one is for you!

These are classic Stamper's Ink classes.  We did these
a year or two ago way before we all met Riley and Sophie.

We never did actually team it up as a desk set though.
So here is an update to a popular classic....

The Sophie Desk Set

This a notepad with sticky notes and a note holder.
The secret ingredients are a square coaster and a binder clip.
You can add a bull dog clip to the notepad holder to hang.
I just could not locate my stash of them Monday eve.  LOL!

This photo will show you the note holder back so you can
see how it works.

Design Tip - look for items beyond paper to make
projects.  These are actually file folders, pens and
binder clips from the dollar bins.
Add some shapes cut from glossy black paper
with a Spellbinders Pendant die and some satin ribbon and
voila a classy desk set.
The stamp is Cyber Riley and a personal
fave of mine. Sorry Riley! This set just had to be Sophie for
my desk so I added a hairbow.  LOL!

Please use the links on my page to check out what the
rest of the design team has in store and be sure and stop
by Riley's home.

Stayed tuned -  tomorrow I have one more St. Patrick's Day
Project to post!

Also be sure and check back next Weds at 9 PM
central time for a new Riley and Company release
and Blog hop.  It will truly be March Madness!

Just A Bit of Sunshine!

Posting a bit of sunshine as the sun starts peeping out here in the Midwest.
We are hoping the ice finally melts on our back patio today!

There is just something about the combo of bright sunny yellow and black.
This is Garden Riley with Bo Bunny Dots and Black Magic
Coredinations paper that has been embossed with Swiss Dots.
The clouds were made with the Cloud Stenciling Kit from Great Impressions
and the new Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.
A bit of pen stitching with a Tombow marker and some twine
complete the card.

Then I just had to make something special for Sophie.  So
here is a little treat purse.
Just big enough to hold a special treat.  How about
Butterscotch candies?

This is from the Forever Young Cricut Cartridge.  Purse is
the Flowers 9 pattern cut at 6".
Flowers are Flowers 4 (with shift key) cut at 2 1/2 and 2.
I used my circle Spellbinder Nesties to cut the white circle
for Sophie.
I usually stamp first then center what I want to cut in the
circle then cut it out.

I actually cut two and cut off the sides from one to
emboss and glued them on the full purse.  This helped
strengthen the handle as well.

I lightly sanded the swiss dots embossing with the Tim Holtz
sanding block.  Paper again is Bo Bunny Dots and
Black Magic Coredinations.

I added a bit of Crystal Stickles to the yellow flower for
sparkle.  Sophie's dress is actually stamped on the
Bo Bunny paper and cut out then glued on stamped image.

I think I love this Cricut cartridge!
Keep in mind the purses cut pretty smallon 12 x12 paper.
This Flowers 9 purse is acutally the largest cut at 6".

Stay tuned for more purses. I have cut some others
but they are smaller so let's see what I can fit on the front of them!

Thanks for stopping by!

Ahh The Great Outdoors

These two Riley stamps are so much fun and make great cards for guys.

These are Campfire Riley and Tent Riley.

Both of these cards are made with We R Memory Keepers paper.
It is their MVP Scrapbook Pad.  Love the colors!
Shapes are cut with Spellbinders Nestabilities.
Tip for a cute accent - use a white Souffle Pen for the marshmallows.

Thanks for stopping by.  Stay tuned for more!  I am planning a card making
weekend!
