It's Off to See the Wizard with Riley and Sophie!

Woo hoo we made it! Time for the blog hop!
First up to get your bearings be sure you start
at Riley and Company's blog.

Tanya will kick it off here:
http://www.rileyandco.blogspot.com/

then in her post she will mention where to head next.
Be sure you post a comment on each blog.
We each are giving away two limited edition word stamps
which are not available to purchase. You can only win
them or get one if you order the whole set at the hop.

And... we each are giving away to one lucky winner
their choice of one of the unmounted single image
stamps from this release.
So two chances to win at each blog you visit!

Now for the last of my projects:
My Riley Scarecrow.....

and my Riley Tin Man Card!

Cards are made with KaiserCraft paper.
The Scarecrow is embossed with the Forest Branches
Cuttlebug embossing folder and the Tin Man with the
Diamond Cuttlebug embossing folder.

The new big scalloped rectangle Spellbinders Nesties
were used to cut the scarecrow image cardstock.
The Tim Holtz Alterations Gears Sizzix die cut the
gears for the Tin Man. I used silver mirror paper
but it seemed a bit too shiny so more gears cut in
Coredinations cardstock top the silver gears.

Brads and buttons from Michaels, a few Prima
flowers, a bit of silver ribbon and a bit of twine
round out the supply list.

So what did I do with all those ATCs?
THIS!

Isn't this a hoot! The whole stamp collection in one framed
project! The ATC frame is new from 7 Gypsies and Tanya
has them at the store.
This is the display at Stamper's Ink for the release.
The paper used on almost all my projects this week is
by Kaiser Craft and is the Bloom collection.

Thanks so much for visiting this week
and joining us for the hop!

Now the next blog on the hop is Patti's:
http://www.designubypatti.blogspot.com/

You can grab the stamps you are dying to have HERE!

Be sure and post your comments by
Friday night 10PM Central.
That is the cutoff for the drawings.

The Inside Scoop!

I love being on the Riley and Company Design Team!
And I doubly love being able to stop by Riley and
Company Headquarters!  LOL!

So thought I would give you all the inside scoop.
Headquarters is actually in the Stamper's Ink
Store in Shawnee, KS.

Guess what I saw tonight?
Tanya is busy boxing and packaging up sets for
the premiere of the new Riley in Oz release
tomorrow night.  Cute little clear presentation
boxes for the unmounted stamps with a
special limited edition stamp included for free.
They have a raffia bow and tag.  So cute!
This is how the set will ship to you if you
order tomorrow night.  So get ready to purchase
tomorrow night at 9!

I will post pics if I get them.
The wood mounted stamps were not bundled yet but
they were to be wrapped in Emerald City Green
cello wrap.  Too cute!

So there you have it the inside scoop!

Now I thought I would do something a bit
different and show you what I created for classes
at the store.

Here are the projects.  Now keep in mind
Stamper's Ink  provided all the supplies for me
to make these so if you see something you would
just love to get in supplies just call here:
913-248-7826
or email:  stampersink@kc.rr.com

Yes they have the KaiserCraft papers,
Spellbinders dies, Cuttlebug embossing
folders and much more you have seen me use
this week.
If you are having trouble finding the supplies
this is the place to call.

On to the projects!  These are all projects
for June so if you are travelling to Kansas City
this next month call there just might be a spot
for you in a class.  Can't make it?  No Problem!
Tanya will make up precut, prestamped kits
for purchase. Just email for details.

An Explosion Box

A Shaker Card Class

And finally a Set of 2 Treasure boxes.  This one is very
limited due to the boxes.  Please call quickly to
see if this one is available.

One last detail..... the last peek at those ATCs.

Wait until you see what I did with all of these!

Got you intrigued?  Well come back Thursday
night at 9 PM Central time and join the blog hop
and the big reveals!

Whew!  Sorry for the long one but hope
I gave you a good source for all these
supplies you may not be able to find!

See you at the hop!

Good Witch Bad Witch Time

Who doesn't remember as a child being mesmerized by
Glinda the Good Witch and the Wicked Witch of
the West?

Well here Sophie gets to play both parts!
What fun these two stamps are.  So many uses for
them too.  From Princess parties to Halloween
these are perfect!

Glinda's card is made of Kaiser Craft paper and embossed
with the Floral Fantasy Cuttlebug embossing folder.
The flower is a hand made scrunchie style flower
with Spellbinder accents from the Floral Accents and
Fleur De Lis Pendant sets.  Ovals were also cut with
Spellbinder Nestibilities.
Distress Inks in Victorian Velvet and Bundled Sage and
touches of Stardust Stickles accent the die cuts.
Image was colored with Copic Markers.

This one was lots of fun to do.  I love cards with cutouts.

This one has the Lotus Pendant Spellbinder Nesties cut
from the center top.  I cut one white and a slightly larger
black circle. Stamped the image on the top white circle
then lightly stenciled Black Soot Distress ink around
the colored image when it was placed back in the die.

The card is made from Coredinations
cardstock so I was able to sand the black off the diecut
and let the green show through.  The card was embossed
with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder for the same
effect of color peeking through black.  I added a backing
to the cut opening with a Kaiser Craft patterned paper.
The diecut with the Wicked Witch image is then pop
dotted up off the peekaboo cutout area.

Added a ribbon and some buttons and topped them
with a few rhinestones.  Hint - mini glue dots are great
for adhering extras to buttons like this.

Ready for sneek peek 3 of my final project?

Thanks for stopping by!  Please be sure and join us
for the blog hopThursday evening 9 PM Central time!
You just have to come see  this whole stamp release.
It brings out the kid in all of us!

Along the Yellow Brick Road...

First correction!  Blog hop will be Thursday eve
at 9 pm central.

Are you still travelling the yellow brick road with me?
Ready for a second sneek peek?

I so love this stamp set that is really hard to decide
which stamp is my favorite.  I think Sophie as Dorothy
kind of steals my heart though.

Supplies:  Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder
Coredinations card stock
Print paper by KaiserCraft
Buttons from Michaels
Offray Ribbon
Ovals cut with Spellbinders Nestibilities
Copic Markers

Then of course who doesn't want to give the
Cowardly Lion a hug?  Or should I say Moose?

Same supplies just a Morrocan Screen Cuttlebug
embossing folder instead.  Silver pearls from Recollections.

Now here is part two of my sneek peek for my big
reveal project!

Yes more ATCs.  Hummm... must be building a collection?????

Enjoy your Tuesday visits to all our blogs!

Therese

It's Two for Tuesday!

Guess it is a two for Tuesday!
Yep two blog posts today.
First up is the Tuesday Challenge from Design Team
Member Laurie.  She challenged us to make a
birthday card.  Well I admit I took a tiny break
from Oz because Tanya called and said
a new Cricut Cartridge had come in for me.

I have had this card in mind ever since I saw
this VW Style car.  LOL!

So this one is for you Tanya.  :-)
Sorry it is a bit late....

No I am not the first one to put lips on Riley and
make him Sophie.  LOL!  It was all Tanya's idea!

If you are wondering that is the Car Riley stamp.
Car is from the new Limited Edition Summer in Paris
Cricut Cartridge and cut at 2 1/2 inches.
The lips stamp is by Stamps by Judith.  Just too perfect for
this card!

Please join us on the challenge and post a Riley Birthday card
you have made!  If you post it at Splitcoast please use the
keywords of Riley 0910.

Now on to post 2!

We're Off to See the Wizard!

Are you ready to join us on the yellow brick
road?  We promise a fabulous trip!
I think the whole Riley and Company
Design Team is so excited to get this
preview week started.  This release
of "There Is No Place Like Home"
is amazing and ever so much fun.

So here goes as promised my peek of
a Sophie box with Sophie Cards.

This is a wooden box with a circle inset.
The Papers are by KaiserCraft and the stamp
is the brand new Sophie the Good Witch stamp.
With the inset I actually was able to make it a shaker box
so the top is filled with crystal beads and has a shaker
pouch top by Impression Obssession.
Edges are inked with Distress ink in Victorian Velvet.

The cards inside were cut with Spellbinder Nestiblities.

Now here is a peek at a project that will be revealed
Wednesday night at 9 pm central time at the
Follow the Yellow Brick Road blog hop.

ATCs (Artist Trading Cards).  Wonder what I am
doing with these little cuties?  Well stayed tuned for
more and the final reveal Wednesday.

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure and check out the rest of
the Riley Design Team blogs for some wonderful sneek peeks!

Oh No!

Oh no!  I am a week late for the challenge.
Riley & Company had a Design Team
challenge last Tuesday.
Silke challenged us to make a circle card.
I am so sorry I missed it!
May came just too quickly.  I have a good excuse though....
honest!

I was in Oz with Riley.  Yep visiting Oz but I think my family
would say I have moved there.  LOL!  I have been working,
working, working on the new release projects.

So I have a problem.  I have circle cards but they have
the new release stamps on them.  So here goes....
a teaser.....

Tanya said I could give you a peek.  So here it is.
Guess who that is?

I promise I will post the whole project as the first sneek peek
release week.
Until then back to Oz I go.

Happy stamping!
