It Is Challenge Time!

Ready for a challenge?  My turn to issue the challenge
for the Riley Design Team.
How about a Patriotic challenge?
Make a card using your national colors.
It thought this would be loads of fun since we are such
an international group.

Here is my take.  Liberty Riley in red, white and blue!
The background is embossed with the Stars Cuttlebug
embossing folder.
The stars are cut with Spellbinders Nestibilities.
I added a bit of bling with rhinestones then colored Riley
with Copic Markers.
A bit of ribbon from Michaels completed the card.

Come on play along!  Post a link to your creation
in the comments.  If you post at Splitcoast Stampers
be sure and use the keywords of Riley1210.

Be sure and stop by all the design team members
blogs for some fun card designs!

Enjoy the coming weekend!

Team Riley!

It all started with This Tuesday's challenge
from Patti to make some type of packaging.
Just a simple package project..... then the
vampires took over.  Vampire Riley to be exact.
He has decided June is vampire
month and we need party favors for his big
party celebrating the new Twilight saga movie,
Eclipse and the new season of True Blood.

He got a little carried away and turned a few of
the other Rileys into Vampires.  Notice the fangs?

So what could I do but make him some party favors!

So here goes.  Vampire Riley I hope these meet
with your approval!

How about your very own bottle of Tru Blood?
Actually a little bottle of water disguised in a red
party bag with a new Vampire Riley band
and a typewritten tag.   Add a bat brad for a
really cool Vampire Riley approved effect!

Then add some of that favorite movie treat Twizzlers
in a crayon box cut from the Tags, Bags, Boxes and
More Cricut cartrridge at 6 inches.

Add some ribbon, a typewritten tag, a sequin, another
bat brad and Sweetheart Riley complete with fangs
and you are all set. (Hint I drew the fangs in with
the fine tip of a Tombow marker.)

Riley just insisted that there be a Team Riley.
Edward and Jacob can not have all the fame!

So here is a Team Riley treat.  This is  the
nut cup from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More
cut at 4".  Add another red party bag
with Red Faves Starbursts and
Heart Balloon Riley. Yes Vampire Riley got
to him too.  I tell ya he has run amok.

Last but not least a popcorn box from the
same cartridge cut at 6 1/4" (fit to page for
a 12 x12 mat.)
That Vampire Riley sure has an attitude.
Catch the saying!  LOL!

All circles and ovals cut with Spellbinders
Nestibilities.  Images colored with Copic
markers.  Prism Cardstock and Bo Bunny Dots
are the papers used.  Edges inked with
Barn Door and Black Soot Distress Inks.
Tim Holtz Ideaology jump rings were used
on the tags.

Stay tuned the rest of the month because
Vampire Riley has a few more friends to highlight.

Also the big big news!   Catch the Summer Moost
Have Sales event at Riley and Company until July 4th.
Vampire Riley swears Tanya ran this so you can
go buy him because you just have to have
at least one vampire in your life! (And this one is
pretty darn cute if I may say so!)

All stamps are 15% off.  With a $50 purchase there
is a free What Would Riley Say" sayings set and with
$75 you also get free shipping!

Sleep tight and don't let the Vampires ---- uh bed bugs
bite!

Patti, Vampire Riley loved your challenge!

The First Design Team Challenge for June!

Can you believe June is already here?
We have 3 challenges this month.

Today's is from Cathy.
It is a  3 2 1 Challenge.
Meaning 3 of one item, 2 of another
and then 1.

This may sound easy but actually
when you get going it can be
a bit tricky! LOL!

Here is my first card:

3 design papers from K & Co. and Basic Grey.
2 pieces of ribbon
1 flower sequin or
1 Riley!  Flowers Riley to be exact.

This card is a matchbook style card and the
two pieces of ribbon tie together to hold it
closed.  All coloring done with Copic markers.
Diecuts are made with Spellbinders Nesties.

Second try!

3 rectangles below the image
2 button embellishments
1 ribbon or 1 Riley image!
This is Car Riley

I just love this little car!  I added a new
Riley in Oz saying which I think fit perfectly
with this stamp as well.

Paper is by K & Co.  Glittery buttons by
American Crafts and brads on top by Karen Foster.
Scalloped circles cut with Spellbinders Nesties
and all coloring is done with Copics.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure and visit
all the other design team members for their
challenge posts!

Please post your tries at the 321 challenge!
