Oops!

Oops!  Sorry the new Moose Mate missed knowing about the last February Challenge.  I am getting up to speed though.  So here is my card a bit late.   There were some new Cricut cartridges in my stash added at Christmas time.  Still waiting for me to try them. I could not resist!  So here is Cowboy Riley with some Old West Cricut touches.  Just a couple of cowboys (mooseboys?)  lounging at the corral.

The paper is some of my favorite - Bo Bunny Dots.  The  fence diecut was inked with Vintage Photo Distress ink and accented with a Copic marker.
The background is inked with the new Barn Door Distress Ink.
Wow it is a great color!

Fence was cut at 2" and the Yeehaw saying cut at 1".
Thanks for looking and stay tuned 'cause I don't think Riley and Company
has left the Old West yet.  More to come!

Love Letters from Riley

I know this stamp is named Sweetheart Riley but every time I see it
I think love letters from Riley.  LOL!

Shopping through Michaels I saw the new Roses by Prima Flowers.
I thought immediately of this stamp.
Such a dainty paper flower to add instead of
the stamped flower.
The pack comes with three different colors of flowers
bundled just like you see at the corner of the card.

The paper is an 8x8 paper pack by My Mind's Eye.
I love the 8 x8 packs because the prints are scaled
smaller and perfect for cards.

The frame is actually a scalloped Octagon Nestabilities
with the circle used to cut the opening.
I like the effect of the octagon outside the circle.
Makes for an interesting frame!

Thanks for stopping by!  Stay tuned for more!

Just a quick post of a card with Team USA inspiration.
Ahh the Riley Sports stamps are so darn cute.

Stay warm and cheer the USA on in the Olympics!

P.S. One more snuck in...

This one just couldn't be left out.
It was my first attempt at the challenge
and not my favorite.  Yet there is that flower....

So for all those who have
resisted that Spellbinders
nested Poinsettia....
this one is for you.

Thanks for stopping by!

Wow! My First Design Team Challenge

Wow..... just wow! I have been asked to join the
Riley and Company Design team.  I am so excited!

As Tanya knows it has been quite a journey from the
scrapbooker who "did not make cards" as she so
fondling reminds me at times to being a
design team member.

I had a blast designing my first design team challenge card.
It was a monochromatic card challenge this month.

This is the Flowers Riley stamp framed with a round
and octagon shaped frame cut and embossed
with round and scalloped octagon Spellbinders
Nestablities. This frame is pop dotted up from the
back frame.
The back accent frame and the border are cut with
Spellbinders Lattice Pendant and Border dies.
It is also pop dotted off the accent background.

The quote frame was cut with the Spellbinders
petite ovals and scalloped ovals.

Background paper is Gemstones by Coredinations.
The accent print paper is from the DCWV Mariposa
paper stack.
All coloring was done with Copic Ciao markers and
stamping done with Momento Tuxedo Black ink.

The pearl accents are self adhesive and by Recollections.
Satin Ribbon from Offray.

Shall I sneek in another?  I think I have some catching up
to do on my blog so here goes.

I stamped the Couch Riley but then cut around
just the Riley design to remove him from the couch.

I just could not resist sitting him in the heart cut from
Spellbinders Nestablities hearts and scalloped hearts.
All the heart layers were embossed with the Swiss
Dots Cuttlebug folder.  The background paper
is a K&Co. print and Gemstones by Coredinations.
A tiny bit of Crystal stickles was added to Riley's
box of chocolates.
