The Last Wave....

It is challenge time for the Riley and Company Design Team.
Today's challenge is from Cathy.  We were to create a scene.

Well here it is.  The last wave, the last hurrah for summer.
The kids started back to school this week here in Riley's
hometown  so I thought I would post one last tribute
to a very hot summer!

Stamps used:  Surfer RileySeaside Sophie,
Don't Moose Out, and Fins Riley.  The background
well let's just say it was a little of this and a little of that.
Just played with the Distress ink, some torn borders and
oodles of Stickles and one Distress Stickles!

Please join us with your challenge scene!  You may post
a link in the comments or over at SplitCoast Stampers.
Just use the keywords of Riley1610.

Stay Cool and catch that last wave before Labor Day!

A Background Challenge!

It is challenge time for the Riley and Company Design Team.
Today's challenge comes from Laurie.  It is to use a
household item as a background stamp.
Well I tried lots.  I love to mess!
Rigatoni is a pretty cool stamp but I wished it made wider
circles or stripes. I will have to come back to that one.

Well anyone here in the Midwest US knows it has been a
scorcher.  100 degrees here at Riley HQ.
So my background just had to be summery!
I found it!

Guess what it is??????

A mini cupcake liner flattened and inked with Distress
Orange Marmalade ink.  I inked it on the non stick mat
then put it on a paper towel so stray ink would not
show up on the cardstock (yep lesson learned.)

The stamp is Surfer Riley.  The elastic cord
flower is from Creative Charms.  Saying is from
Moose Sayings 1.  Love this saying set!

Give your household item stamping a try and
post it a Splitcoast Stampers with the keyword
Riley1510.

Okay going to sneek in a surprise for Tanya.
Want a peek?

Isn't this the cutest little thing ever?  Yes I know
I cut the head off Bikini Sophie again but this
flower tote needed something cute in the center.

The template and directions are from
Ilina Crouse's Tutorials and Templates.

Have a wonderful Tuesday and stay cool
if you are experiencing this heat!
